The Fated:Rise From the Ashes by Candy Crum WITH REVIEW

Title:The Fated: Rise From the Ashes
Author: Candy Crum
Genre: YA Fantasy
Release Date: September 6, 2016

Synopsis
:

Zeus, king of the gods, has been stubborn for far too long. Because of his refusal to reconnect with the humans, the gods' powers have gone unused. The longer the gods ignored who the were, simply to obey him, the weaker they became.
Prophecy states that Cronus, the father of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades would rise and when he does he will claim Olympus and Earth. Starting with his sons, he will kill the Olympians and enslave the humans in the process.
The only hope for the Olympians to defeat him, would be for the gods to make a difficult choice:
Trust in themselves or trust in their human descendants.

I have read plenty by Candy Crum, as she is one of my favorite authors. I totally love her writing style, but I have to tell you, this book is WOW, just WOW!!! It is absolutely AMAZING! I can't even begin to formulate the words to express how phenomenal it is. This is her best work yet.
The gods quit helping the humans. The humans became self sufficient and didn't need the gods like they did before. As time went on, the gods powers weakened greatly from not being used. With that being said, who would have ever guessed Cronus would surface? The gods are too weak to defend themselves against him. When all hell breaks loose, what do the gods do? Do they fall? Does Cronus take over or does he lose?
Well, I am no spoiler, so you will have to read it for yourself. Now, when you reach the ending of the book, you are going to disappointed that it wasn't longer. The ending sneaks up on you like a thief and steals the joy you have for this book, leaving you longing for the next. I just know there will be a next book. I mean, how can you write this book and leave it without writing another? There has to be a next book. Right? :/
